The Application Process

To apply for our electrical apprenticeship program, you must first complete an application form. Your application will be evaluated to determine whether or not you meet the local program’s basic requirements. There is a $40 application fee which must be paid at the time you complete your formal application.

Applications are accepted Monday through Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 12 noon and again from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Minimum requirements for the EPJATC are:

  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Must be a high school graduate or have a GED.
  • Must have a valid drivers license.
  • Must have a social security card.

Show evidence of successful completion of one full year of high school algebra I  with a passing grade, or one post high school algebra course with a passing grade. If you don’t have the credit on algebra you can take it on line just go to www.njatc.org/training/online.aspx

Provide a transcript from high school or post high school education and training. If applicable, GED records must be submitted.

If  you meet the basic requirements you will be given the opportunity to complete a formal application.

Once you have met the basic requirements to complete a formal application you will be scheduled to take the Electrical Training Alliance entry assessment which is administered at least twice per year.

The test prep and test are administered here at the EPJATC Facility.
