PHOTOVOLTAIC CLASSES


To apply for our electrical apprenticeship program, you must first complete an application form. Your application will be evaluated to determine whether or not you meet the local program's basic requirements.

Minimum requirements for EPJATC are:

  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Must have a valid drivers license.
  • Must have a social security card.

Show evidence of successful completion of one full year of high school algebra  with a passing grade, or one post high school algebra course with a passing grade. If you don't have the credit on algebra you can take it on line just go to www.njatc.org/training/online.aspx


Be at least a high school graduate, or have a GED, or have a two-year Associate Degree or higher.

Provide a transcript from high school or post high school education and training. If applicable, GED records must be submitted.

If  you meet the basic requirements you will be given the opportunity to complete a formal application. At that time an application fee of $30.00 is due. You may then be scheduled for testing. The test battery consist of two tests.

Approximately five business days after you take the test battery, we will receive the results. You will then be scheduled for an oral interview depending on the results.
 If you are interested in testing you have to come in to the office and complete the application. The testing is limited to the top 30 qualified applicants.
